The Parish of
Burton Dassett
The Parish of Burton Dassett; (which includes Knightcote, Little Dassett, Northend and Temple Herdewyke) supports two churches: the Chapel of Ease in Northend and All Saints Church at Burton Dassett. It holds five communities within its boundaries: the villages of Northend, Knightcote and Temple Herdewyke as well as the hamlets of Burton Dassett and Little Dassett; these all cluster around the northern edge of the Burton Dassett Hills, the total population being just over 1,300 people. Included in these communities is DM Kineton, a military establishment and Temple Herdewyke Primary School with which we have links; 1 pub ( currently closed!) 2 village halls and The LINK - the Temple Herdewyke community centre. All Saints is a popular venue for weddings, baptisms, historical and art societies, school groups, campanologists and it has its own dedicated bell ringing team. It attracts visitors from all over the country and from overseas.
